The Chinese military said on Monday that a US warship illegally entered the waters adjacent to the disputed Second Thomas Shoal atoll in the South China Sea.
“The United States is seriously undermining regional peace and stability,” a spokesman for China’s Southern Theater Command said in a statement. He added that the United States is deliberately stirring up tension in the South China Sea and seriously violating China’s sovereignty.
